One of the most horrific things that can happen to a mother is losing their child. A child is a part of her heart and soul and the attachment cannot be defined by any language.
I spoke with Amelia Schawb this morning regarding Child Protective Services removing her 7 year-old son, Deven from her care. The story that unfolded is one that could happen to any of us.
Raymond and Amelia Schawb are not your typical “mainstream parents.” The Schwab’s have strong family values, a firm faith and foundation in the word of God, and most importantly, they take a stand for all that is true. Amelia is a very loving mother of four and devoted wife.
Most families today live a life consumed by the television set, while allowing their children to rot their brains playing video games all day. We live in a society that says its “okay” if our schedules are too busy to sit down together for dinner and miss out on actually raising our kids. After all, it’s about climbing that corporate ladder and making the big money that will make you the happiest, right?
Not so for Raymond and Amelia Schwab. Their family is an example for all of us to consider and live by.
The Schwab’s are part of the Beit Shalom Ministries and in March 2007 the “Denver to DC Walk for Truth” began. As described on the Beit Shalom Ministries website, the walk for truth is based on, “The truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the need for all people to repent and turn to the Lord that healing may come to our nation. We must be a country which embraces justice, righteousness, and truth, and be vigilant in the responsibility of preserving the American Republic from apathy, tyranny, and immorality.”
While traveling by RV, with their four children through the state of Kansas, the Schwab family was approached in a shopping center parking lot by Child Protective Services. Amelia’s former boyfriend, and biological father of Deven who resides in Kansas had contacted CPS. CPS was told that Deven was not properly taken care of and he was forced to participate in the 9/11 Truth Movement. After a visit with Raymond and Amelia that day, CPS told them everything checked out okay.
It should be noted that Deven has not had much of a relationship with his biological father and over the years has called CPS time and time again with complaints when they travel through Kansas. The Schwab family resides in Colorado, and yet are now “stuck” in a legal web in Kansas.
Two weeks later, Amelia and her family were preparing to participate in her sister’s wedding. Fifteen minutes before the ceremony began, CPS showed up and took Deven into protective services. In a court hearing following this heart-wrenching event, Amelia was then told by the judge that she was “incompetent” because she was unable to recall specific dates.
Deven was placed in temporary custody with Amelia’s mother until the next court hearing on June 28th, 2007.
Raymond and Amelia are under attack for their beliefs, spiritual and political. This could happen to any one of us, should we encounter a person who disagrees with us. Our right to live freely and pursue happiness is a thing of the past. Has it really come down to needing the approval of the corrupt elite before you can even think for yourself?
What has happened to this country? What has happened to our courts? A child who has been with his mommy since birth has now become a vulnerable part of the corrupt system that looks down on the ones who raise their children to think! I am appalled by this situation. I am fearful that it will happen to many other families who are involved with the 9/11 Truth Movement and who teach their children the TRUTH about the world in which they live in.
The saddest part of this entire situation is that little Deven suffers the consequences. Deven suffers because his safe, loving, world of truth is being attacked. Yes, it’s that easy these days to destroy a child’s life by making accusations and reporting them to the corrupt authorities. We are no longer protected by the Constitution, and it’s time to take a stand and take America back. Take our families back. Take our freedoms back.
Amelia speaks with great pride about her son. Her children are home schooled and are ahead of the mark in vocabulary and reading. Her children have gotten to see places and meet people that most children will never have the opportunity to. Amelia has a peaceful voice, and though her heart is hurting for her son, her voice was vacant of anger this morning. Not once did her tone show anger over the situation. She can’t trust the courts on this one. Amelia and Raymond are trusting God. So am I. |
