Non-News Highlighted Over Paul's Historic Success

The corporate controlled media continue to show the world that they are not in the business of covering real news. Instead they prove yet again that they are in the business of creating a false reality for their viewers. Yesterday, the Ron Paul presidential campaign managed to raise over $6 million in one day, breaking John Kerry's previous one day fundraising record. Despite the amazing success, the corporate controlled media decided that it was more important to focus in on Hillary Clinton's image, Joe Lieberman's endorsement of John McCain and various banter being thrown back and forth between Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee. Even when the media did talk about the Ron Paul fundraising story, they continued to refer to him as a longshot candidate that's trailing in the polls. This is despite the fact that Ron Paul has consistently won straw polls, Internet polls, text message polls, has all sorts of visible grassroots support and is raising a record amount of money. Surely, a presidential candidate raising a record amount of money in one day as a so called long shot is huge news and should be treated appropriately. It is a sad day in America when the media provides more attention to non-news stories like Britney Spears shaving her head, Lindsay Lohan's drug problems and a host of items that have very little importance or significance to our country.

The corporate controlled media clearly does not want Ron Paul to win and disrupt the corrupt political system in this nation. This is why they continue to provide all sorts of free media coverage to the corporate approved front runners despite this huge story surrounding the Ron Paul campaign. Amazingly, they are willing to sacrifice their own credibility for the sake of promoting their own agenda of protecting the status quo. If anything, the Joe Lieberman endorsement of John McCain should have raised serious questions about the legitimacy of the two-party system in this nation. It is suspicious that a former Democratic vice presidential nominee is now openly endorsing a Republican presidential candidate. In typical fashion, this is not a question that is raised even though it is clear that the American two-party political system is actually a one-party system. That's because the corporate media is put in place to convince the American people that this is not the case by trapping them in a phony political paradigm. They tell people what to think. This is why the Ron Paul news did not get its deserved place as the number one news story in the nation today.

In all fairness, the fundraising news did receive a wide array of coverage on the Internet and in newspapers but in outlets used for widespread public consumption, the coverage was lukewarm despite the historic significance of the event.

Regardless of the corporate controlled media spin and lack of due coverage of this fundraising effort, there is no doubt that the Ron Paul presidential campaign is growing exponentially. This is opening a window for the Ron Paul campaign as the corporate controlled media is now being forced to bring him on in order to maintain what little credibility they have left. Ron Paul will be appearing on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on NBC tonight, on Glenn Beck's TV show tomorrow and Meet the Press next Sunday. This massive fundraising effort combined with these media appearances should help the Ron Paul campaign grow even more.

Proof that the Ron Paul campaign is already growing can be seen in the fact that his poll numbers continue to move up in the biased corporate controlled polls. Ron Paul even came out on top in a Republican presidential candidate poll conducted in Alaska. There's no doubt that Ron Paul has a real chance of placing in the top three in Iowa and coming out with a win in New Hampshire. The Huffington Post ranked Ron Paul as the current number three Republican candidate in Iowa and the volume of Independent and Libertarian voters in New Hampshire means that a Ron Paul New Hampshire victory is not out of the question.

The corporate controlled media is failing miserably in their attempts to present a false reality of the 2008 presidential race. How can anyone take the corporate controlled media seriously when they go out of their way to highlight non-news stories over historical events and spin historical events in a negative light to push their agenda? They have turned the American electoral process into a circus with their antics and as the Ron Paul campaign picks up more momentum they will lose even more credibility.
