More Questionable Al-Qaeda Videos Surface

The U.S. government is stepping up the war on terror propaganda campaign by releasing video footage they claim shows Al-Qaeda forces in Iraq training children to wage jihad against the west. The Department of Defense claims to have found five videos showing Al-Qaeda training children in the ways of terrorism after a raid targeting senior Al-Qaeda members in Iraq. It is interesting how Al-Qaeda routinely and conveniently leaves behind video tapes that contain content which is used by the corporate controlled media to convince the American people that the war on terror is actually real. The Department of Defense claimed Al-Qaeda left behind a video tape in Afghanistan that showed Osama Bin Laden admitting that he was responsible for the 9/11 attacks. However, that tape was proven to be a fake with an actor playing Osama Bin Laden. Unfortunately, it did achieve the desired propaganda effect convincing many people that it was proof Bin Laden admitted to the attacks. These latest videos show kids running around wearing ski-masks and European soccer jerseys while brandishing machine guns. It looks completely ridiculous especially when you consider that some of them are wearing European soccer jerseys. Would an Islamic fundamentalist movement really allow their recruits to wear infidel clothing in a propaganda video? Ask yourself which is more likely, that Al-Qaeda would continually leave behind these types of videos at locations that are raided or that these tapes are propaganda created by western intelligence agencies to justify the war of terror? Does Al-Qaeda really have anything to gain by producing videos such as these? We’ll let you be the judge, but considering the track record of discredited Al-Qaeda tapes and phony terror threats the answer seems obvious.

According to a report posted on the National Post's web site, nobody has been able to independently verify the authenticity of these new Al-Qaeda video tapes. As a result, there is no way to determine if these videos are really from Islamic fundamentalists. Below is a blurb from the article in the National Post.

Al-Qaeda fighters in Iraq are training young children as gunmen and kidnappers, the U.S and Iraqi militaries said yesterday as they released a video of masked and armed youngsters.

Rear-Admiral Gregory Smith, a U.S. military spokesman, said five videos showing children being trained by adult insurgents were seized in a Dec. 4 raid on a suspected al-Qaeda base in Khan Bani Saad, north of Baghdad.

"The operation was targeting two senior al-Qaeda individuals. During the operation, two were detained and three were killed," he said.

Authorities believe the videos were meant to spread al-Qaeda's message among the young, rather than train the boys for missions. The authenticity of the footage has not been independently verified. "This is not the first time we've observed such material, but the volume and content was the most significant and disturbing we have found to date," Admiral Smith said.

In the videos released to reporters, boys apparently as young as nine are seen wearing balaclava masks and European soccer jerseys and brandishing pistols, machine-guns and rocket launchers during a series of training exercises.

The Department of Defense claims that these videos show proof that a next-generation of Al-Qaeda members are being trained which is clearly designed to make the American people believe in the prospects of perpetual war. They also used the opportunity to talk about how there are thousands of web sites with radical ideologies that support the aims of Al-Qaeda. Of course, the Department of Defense provides no proof of these so called Al-Qaeda web sites, they just expect us to believe them. This is additional propaganda to make us believe that the Internet is a useful tool for terrorists which will be helpful for the establishment to pass HR 1955/S 1959 which literally gives the government a blank check to determine if particular thoughts or beliefs are terrorism.

Last month, Fox News and other media outlets were hyping a white Al-Qaeda army of over 1,000 men coming out of the United Kingdom. They even showed video of white males in ski masks brandishing weapons. No source cited by Fox News on the video, they just showed it for the purposes of showing more effective propaganda. The Scotsman which originally reported on the white Al-Qaeda threat cited a source from MI5 that claimed Al-Qaeda was recruiting young white prisoners. No proof, no evidence of a white Al-Qaeda army just the fact that a source from MI5 said so.

So according to western governments, we now need to be afraid of Al-Qaeda training children to wage war against us and an army of white Al-Qaeda members coming out of British prisons. These claims have not been independently verified as fact and they probably never will be. The purpose of the media is no longer to provide people with factual information, instead it is to strike fear in the general public and reinforce the war on terror myth regardless of the validity of the material. All the media does is parrot material given to them by government agencies and provide no real analysis on information they release.

Considering the track record of questionable Al-Qaeda tapes, phony terror threats that are hyped by the mass media complex and the blurring of lines between criminality and terrorism, these new videos showing children running around in ski-masks as potential so called Al-Qaeda members should be laughed at. A CNN report even coins the phrase Al-Qaeda families. If this is really Al-Qaeda propaganda, why is the U.S. government encouraging the mass media complex to use it as a propaganda tool on the American people?
